Virgin Voyages: Western Caribbean Charm on the Scarlet Lady - March 2025 - Embarkation Day - Part 2
The second part of day 2 was packed with good stuff, so stick with me here…
My first stop after embarking was to head to the 10th floor and check out my stateroom!

We then headed to The Dock, an outdoor bar with comfortable seating offering ocean views.
ALL FOOD aboard Virgin Voyages is included in the price of your fare (with rare exceptions for add-on food options like a Tomahawk steak or seafood tower in some of the sit-down restaurants.) At the Dock, we ordered some tapas bites (my favorite was the goat cheese polenta and Spanish octopus). I also enjoyed my first cocktail on the ship - the Golden Horizon - Olmeca Altos Plata tequila, Shinola passion fruit liqueur, honey, and fresh basil.
Next, we headed to Deck 15 for the sailaway party, where everyone enjoyed complimentary champagne and a fun welcome from the happenings cast!
After the sailaway party, we had dinner at Gunbae-Virgin Voyages' high-energy Korean BBQ spot, where you grill your own meats and play drinking games/shots of soju with your server.
After dinner, we headed to the Grog Walk we had signed up for in the VV app. The Grog Walk is a lively, hosted bar crawl that takes you to the ship's best bars for expertly crafted cocktails and a fun, social start to your sailing.
It's the perfect first-night activity because it helps you explore the ship, meet fellow sailors, and taste a Virgins' signature drinks—all while kicking off your cruise with great energy!
To wrap up our fun-filled first day, we danced the night away at the shipwide pajama party before drifting off to sleep, rocked by the gentle sway of the ship.
