Bonus Tips for the Best Experience
Bring a Backpack or Bag: The small bag provided for trick-or-treating fills up quickly. Bring a backup to hold all your candy.
Focus on the Entertainment: Prioritize unique experiences like parades, fireworks, and character meet-and-greets over regular attractions.
Prioritize Rides with Overlays: Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor have special Halloween overlays. Tron will be open with a virtual queue.
Attend Later Shows: Crowds are usually lighter for the later parades and shows as families with young children leave early.
Costume with Caution: Choose a comfortable costume suitable for Florida's warm weather.
Grab a Party Map: While the My Disney Experience app is helpful, a paper map will clearly show treat spots, parades, and character locations.
Allergy-Friendly Treats: If you have allergies, get a special blue trick-or-treat bag and receive blue tokens at treat locations, redeemable for allergy-friendly treats at the Chamber of Commerce or Liberty Square.
Eat a Big Meal Before The Party: Most of the Magic Kingdom restaurant and quick-service options will be closed or will close early during the party. Be sure to eat a meal before the party and plan to just enjoy snacks and treats at the party.
Arrive Early: You can enter the park as early as 4 PM to maximize your time and avoid long entry lines closer to party start time.
Meet Characters Early: Some popular characters start meeting guests before the party begins. To avoid long waits and save party time, consider meeting 1 or 2 of these party-exclusive characters before MNSSHP kicks off.
Trick-or-Treating: It's not just for kids! There are many opportunities to collect candy at MNSSHP. Trick-or-treat stations are easy to identify because of the large inflatables nearby, and lines are shortest at the end of the night.
No Lightning Lanes: Lightning Lane Multi-Pass will not be available for party nights, but lines are generally much shorter.
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is a highlight of the fall season at Disney World. With these tips and all the exciting new features for 2024, you're sure to have an unforgettable time. Stay magical, and I'll see you at the park!
